
Ultraframe has produced an inspirational DVD to assist installers in explaining to consumers the importance of choosing an Ultraframe roof for their conservatory. The DVD has been produced by a highly respected film production company and uses a range of special effects and graphics to ensure it is both interesting and informative for viewers. It probably represents our single biggest marketing investment in retail support materials ever.
The 7-minute DVD focuses on all of the decisions that a consumer has to face during the conservatory buying process and explains how many of them can be answered by choosing an Ultraframe roof. Whilst many consumers are aware that they have a choice of colours, fans and other lifestyle choices, many are still unaware of the importance of their choice of roof. The DVD explains the magnitude of this decision using topics that matter to the consumer, such as how will their conservatory withstand the great British weather and how can they be sure that their conservatory is structurally sound and built to last.

Rather than baffling the target audience with scientific facts, the DVD explores these important topics by using actual footage of tornados in the UK and features a selection of alternative systems available on the market being independently tested at the Wintech testing centre in Telford. During the trials an Ultraframe roof and a range of alternative systems were subjected to winds of up to 130mph using a turbo prop aero engine. The spectacular footage shows the Ultraframe roof still going strong at 130 mph, which is the maximum limit the test could subject the roof to, whilst the alternatives tested failed in a dramatic manner at lower speeds, with glazing bars and sheets of polycarbonate breaking away from the roof.
